In 2026S you could choose one of the following topics: Discharging method, Universal cycle coverings, Information-amount from coefficients in Linear Programs, Locality Sensitive Hasing, Algorithmic aspects of the Firefighter Problem, General Number Field Sieve (Integer Factorization), Symmetry Breaking in SAT Solving, Polynomial Hierarchy, Proof Complexity, Splendors and Miseries of SAT Solvers.

Within that topic you are free to select subtopics that are most interesting to you or you think can present the best.

There is a zoom meeting in the beginning of the semester where everyone selects their topic. Then you have to do some literature research and you have a meeting with your supervisor either Enrico Iurlano or Tomas Peitl to discuss your literature.

You should hold a 25 min presentation about your topic. Lastly, you have to submit a seminar paper about your topic.
