Inhalt

Introduction to serverless as a concept and everything that comes with it. Discussion of different serverless platforms and concepts like Backends-as-a-service.

Ablauf

Weekly lecture with exam. Students also have to do a project on a topic of their choice in using serverless technologies.

Benötigte/Empfehlenswerte Vorkenntnisse

General knowledge with some serverless technologies or platforms (AWS, Terraform, ...) helps but is not required.

Vortrag

The lecture was very good. Professor Nastic manages to present the materials quite well and the content has a good mix of high-level concepts and technical details. I personally can recommend it.

Übungen

Project in groups of 5 people. 3 deadlines for the project. First submission for preliminary scenario and literature research, then project proposal and finally the project prototype as well as report. For the project proposal and prototype there is also a presentation.

I think it is fair for 3 ECTS. Just be aware that the software prototype is a prototype and don't over engineer it.
