- if all 11 questions are answered, the one that gets the fewest points is omitted

the questions were as follows (not verbatim and in no particular order):

1) Coating of non-conductive specimens (for SEM): describe how it works and draw a scheme

2) Köhler illumination: all the steps are given and have to be put in the right order

3) Name (and describe?) the intrinsic properties of a fluorophor

4) Differences of wight light and fluorescence microscope; which additional components are found in a fluorescence microscope and what is their function?

5) Color-coded rings on objectives: what is their meaning?

6) Describe how phase-contrast microscopy works

7) What kind of image is created in light microscope + draw the light path
