Ablauf
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]S24: Weekly lecture; A short, 15-minute quiz in the beginning of each lecture (on-site and in-person) starting from the second unit. Two guest lectures at the end of the semester (both online; the quizzes in those weeks were also held online). Project work in the last two months and a final presentation.
Benötigte/Empfehlenswerte Vorkenntnisse

General computer science knowledge and techniques
Vortrag
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]Good and varied presentations with many examples. Overall good pacing and structure, but the units were sometimes a bit long.

Prüfung, Benotung
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]Overall fair but also strict. You can quickly lose points for the presentation and report if you don't follow the guidelines.
Dauer der Zeugnisausstellung

Definitely higher than the 3 ECTS, but it strongly depends on the project you choose and how much effort you put in.

Follow the professor's guidelines when writing the project report, especially regarding the hypothesis formulation and report structure.

Verbesserungsvorschläge / Kritik
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]The course is quite specific and should not be compulsory for the Master Medical Informatics. My suggestion is to make VisMed 1 a 6 ECTS course without changing much of the content, as the course requires already more effort than 3 ECTS. Then the course VisMed 2 can be an elective course if one wants more specialized insights.
The project is a lot of effort for a 3 ECTS course.
