You should have some basic knowledge about Statistics and Stochastic, especially for the first exercise. Because there is no lecture in advance and you need to either find all information to solve it by yourself or you already have some knowledge about those topics.

Since you only have a week to solve the exercise sheets (each has 8 exercises) and each sheet took me about 6-8 hours, I believe 3 ECTS is too little for this VU. For reference 3 ECTS should be 75h of work during the whole semester:

- 2h a week lectures or exercise sessions: 26h

- two 2h long exams: 4h

- that leaves 45h divided by 6 exercise sheets and 2 exams: 5.625h

--> therefore you should only take about 5-6h to do one exercise and to study for an exam, which is clearly not the case.

Tipps

SS23:

- Do NOT buy the script. It is exactly the SAME content that is on the slides that you get for free on TUWEL.

- I would not recommend to choose the group of Ulrike Schneider, because she likes things very mathematical. So everything needs to be very formally defined, you need to know every definition of everything that is in the instruction and also of everything you use. Only calculating something is not sufficant, she will think that you just copied it.
